Security and two-factor
Change or reset your password
Change your password in Settings, Security when you know it, or reset it with Forgot Password on the sign-in page, and the rule a new password must meet.
One password opens every workspace you belong to, so keep it strong and use it nowhere else.
The password rule
A new password needs at least 8 characters, with letters, at least one number and at least one special character, such as ! or #. Spaces and accented letters are allowed. Very common passwords and passwords that contain your e-mail address are refused.
Change it when you know it
- Open Settings, then the Security tab.
- In Password, enter your Current Password, then the new one twice.
- Save.
Changing your password also ends the connections of AI assistants you allowed before the change.
Reset it when you have forgotten it
- On the sign-in page, choose Forgot Password?.
- Type your registered e-mail address and choose Reset my password.
- Open the e-mail and follow the link within 60 minutes. The link works once.
- On Set a New Password, enter the new password twice and choose Set Password.
- Sign in with the new password.
For your safety, the page shows the same message whether or not the address has an account. If the link has expired, request a new one.
A temporary password from an administrator
If an administrator set a temporary password for you, SocialApp asks you to choose your own right after you sign in, with the temporary password as confirmation.
Resetting your password does not turn off two-factor authentication.
