Account deletion and your data

Delete your own account

As a team member or client, delete your own account and personal details at once, what happens to your work, and how this differs from leaving a workspace.

Anyone other than the Owner can delete their own account. Your work stays with the organisation; your personal details are removed.

Delete your account

  1. Open the data management page of your workspace: your workspace's address followed by /settings/data-management. Owners and Admins also find it in Settings, under the more settings list, as Data management.
  2. In Delete my account, confirm it is you with your password and, if two-factor is on, a fresh code.
  3. Type your e-mail address and choose Delete my account.

This happens straight away. You are signed out on every device.

What is removed

  • Your profile: name, e-mail address, phone number, picture and settings.
  • Your sign-in: password, two-factor setup, sessions, devices and API keys.
  • Your personal data in SocialApp, such as your Slack connections, AI assistant connections and notification states.

What stays with the organisation

Posts, comments and other work you created stay, so the team can continue. They are no longer linked to your name.

Leave instead of delete

If you only want to leave one workspace and keep your sign-in for others, use Remove me from this team in Settings, Profile. That ends your membership of this workspace only.

The Owner cannot delete their own account this way; the Owner deletes the whole organisation instead.
