Analytics and reports

Read the analytics of an account

Which networks have analytics, how often numbers are collected, how far back they go, date ranges and comparisons, and what each card state means.

Last updated 2 min read

Open Analytics in the sidebar and choose a network, then Select an account. Analytics pages come with Standard and above.

Networks

Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn Pages, X, YouTube, Google Business Profile and TikTok. Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Tumblr have no analytics page. LinkedIn profile analytics show as not available, because LinkedIn grants member analytics to apps only through a separate product.

How numbers are collected

SocialApp reads each account through the network's official insights API and keeps the numbers, so pages load quickly and past periods stay available.

  • When you connect an account, its history is fetched in the background: up to two years for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, 18 months for Business Profile and one year for LinkedIn. Until it is done, cards say the data is being collected.
  • Numbers are refreshed daily, Instagram every six hours. Networks can take up to two days to finish their numbers, so the last days are read again.
  • X and TikTok give current totals only, so their follower history starts on the day you connect.

Date ranges

Choose the last 7, 15, 30 or 90 days, the last month, the last three months, or a Custom Date range of up to 89 days. Every card compares with the period of the same length just before. When the earlier period has nothing to compare, the card says "No data for comparison".

Card states

A card shows its numbers, or one of these: still collecting, not available (with the reason; never a made-up zero), reconnect needed, or no data for the range.

Customize the page

Edit Report adds, removes and reorders cards on the page. Return to Default brings back the standard layout.
