Analytics and reports

Compare with competitors

Follow public Instagram professional accounts and, once Meta approves access, Facebook Pages, and see what a competitor report can and cannot show.

Competitor reports follow the public numbers of other accounts. Open Analytics, then Competitor Reports. They come with Premium and Ultimate.

Instagram

Add a competitor by its exact Instagram username. It must be a public business or creator account. SocialApp looks it up through one of your Instagram accounts connected with Meta Business Suite; accounts connected with an Instagram login cannot do lookups.

The report shows:

  • followers, from the day you added the competitor (Instagram gives no history);
  • posts and Reels with their like and comment counts.

Reach, views, saves, shares and Stories of other accounts are private, so they are not shown.

Facebook

Facebook Pages of other businesses can only be read by apps that Meta has approved for Page Public Content Access. Until the operator of your SocialApp installation has that approval, the Facebook search and report say so and nothing is looked up. Once approved, the report shows followers and posts with their public counts.

Other networks

Competitor reports cover Instagram and Facebook only.

Collection and range

Competitors are read once a day, and a new competitor at once. Competitor reports cover up to the last 90 days.
