Connect Instagram business and creator accounts

SocialApp publishes directly to Instagram professional accounts, both business and creator accounts. The Instagram card on Connect Account offers Connect Business or Creator, with two ways to sign in.

Choose how to connect

• Meta Business Suite (recommended): sign in with Facebook. The Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page you manage.
• Instagram: sign in with the Instagram account itself. No Facebook Page is needed.

Both routes publish posts, carousels, Reels and Stories. Some features need the Meta Business Suite route because Meta offers them only there: mentions in the Social Inbox, location search in the composer, competitor lookups and deleting a published post from Instagram.

Connect the account

1. Open Accounts, then Connect Account.
2. On the Instagram card, choose Connect Business or Creator, then the way to sign in.
3. Sign in and allow the permissions.
4. With Meta Business Suite, tick the accounts in the list (each shows its linked Facebook Page) and choose Connect Account. With an Instagram login, the account is saved at once.

If SocialApp says only business or creator profiles can be connected, switch the profile to a professional account in the Instagram app and try again.

Personal profiles

Connect Personal is shown as not available. Personal profiles can only publish through reminders in a mobile app, and the SocialApp mobile app does not exist yet.

Instagram's limits

Instagram's API does not accept WebP images or feed images taller than 4:5. SocialApp refuses them before you schedule, with a message, so the post does not fail later.
