Get notifications in Slack

Connect your own Slack workspaces, pick the channel on Slack's consent screen, and choose which events are posted: disconnects, approvals and errors.

SocialApp can post notifications to a Slack channel. Slack connections are personal: each person connects the Slack workspaces they want to hear in, and sees only their own.

Connect Slack

  1. Open the Integrations menu in the header and choose Slack.
  2. Connect a workspace. Slack opens its consent screen, where you pick the channel.
  3. Back in SocialApp, the workspace is listed with its channel.

Slack shows Not configured until the operator of your SocialApp installation has added the Slack app keys.

You can connect up to 20 Slack workspaces. Connecting the same Slack workspace again replaces its channel, so use it to change channels.

Choose the events

Edit a connected workspace to name it and switch on:

  • Social Account Disconnect: an account needs to be reconnected.
  • Pending Approval: a post waits for approval or client approval.
  • Posts Errors: a post failed to publish.

Each event is posted once per Slack workspace and channel, whatever your in-app and e-mail settings.

When Slack stops accepting messages

If the channel is deleted or the app is removed in Slack, the workspace shows that it needs to be reconnected and nothing more is sent. Connect it again to resume. Deleting a workspace in SocialApp disconnects it.

On a white-label domain, the Slack pages are hidden.
