Connect Facebook Pages
Connect one or more Facebook Pages you manage, choose them in the Select Pages list, add them to groups and see why a Page cannot be selected.
SocialApp publishes to Facebook Pages through Meta's official API. Personal profiles and Groups cannot be connected: Meta does not let apps publish to them.
Before you start
- You need a role on the Page that lets you create content, such as admin or editor.
- The Facebook card on Connect Account shows Not configured until the operator of your SocialApp installation has added the Meta app keys, and Needs review while Meta has not approved the app yet.
Connect a Page
- Open Accounts, then Connect Account.
- On the Facebook card, choose Connect Page.
- Sign in to Facebook and allow the permissions it asks for. Keep every Page you want to use selected.
- Back in SocialApp, the Select Pages list shows your Pages. Tick the ones to connect, or Select all.
- Optionally choose Add to Groups to put the new accounts straight into groups.
- Choose Connect Account.
Each new Page gets a default posting schedule of three times a day. You can change it under Edit Account, on the Schedule tab.
Pages you cannot select
A greyed-out Page shows the reason when you point at it, for example a missing role or a permission you did not grant. Pages that are already connected are listed under Connected Pages. A Page that needs a new sign-in is listed under Re-Connect Pages.
The selection is kept for 30 minutes. After that, start again from Connect Account.
What you can post
Text, links with a call to action, up to 35 photos, albums, link carousels, videos, Reels and Stories, plus a first comment. Facebook Pages also work with the Social Inbox and Facebook analytics.
