Connect a Threads profile
Connect a Threads profile with a Threads sign-in, what you can publish to Threads, and what to check when the connect option shows Needs review.
Threads profiles connect with their own Threads sign-in through Meta's Threads API. The profile is saved as soon as you finish signing in; there is no list to choose from.
Connect the profile
- Open Accounts, then Connect Account.
- On the Threads card, choose Connect Profile.
- Sign in with the Threads profile you want to connect and allow the permissions.
- You return to Accounts with the profile connected and a default posting schedule assigned.
The option shows Not configured until the operator of your SocialApp installation has added the Threads app keys, and Needs review while Meta has not approved the app.
What you can post
- Text, with a link if you like. Threads posts can be up to 500 characters.
- A single image or video, or a carousel of up to 10 images and videos.
Threads does not accept WebP images, so SocialApp asks you to use JPG or PNG instead before the post is scheduled.
Delete and reconnect
A published Threads post can be deleted from Threads in Manage Posts with Delete from Threads. If the sign-in expires, the account shows Reconnect. See reconnect, pause or remove an account.
Threads has no inbox and no analytics page in SocialApp.
