Connect networks
Connect LinkedIn profiles and Pages
Connect a personal LinkedIn profile or the LinkedIn Pages you administer, and what each one can publish, show in the inbox and report in analytics.
The LinkedIn card on Connect Account has two options: Connect Profile for your personal profile and Connect Page for company Pages. They use two separate LinkedIn apps, as LinkedIn requires.
Connect your profile
- Open Accounts, then Connect Account.
- On the LinkedIn card, choose Connect Profile.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and allow the permissions. The profile is saved at once.
Connect Pages
- On the LinkedIn card, choose Connect Page and sign in.
- The list shows the Pages where you are an administrator. Tick the ones to connect and choose Connect Account.
If SocialApp says you are not the admin of any company page, ask a Page administrator to give your LinkedIn member the admin role first. The Page option shows Needs review until LinkedIn has approved the Pages app.
What each one can do
| Profile | Page | |
|---|---|---|
| Text, links, up to 20 images, video, documents | Yes | Yes |
| First comment | Yes | Yes |
| Target audience | No | Yes |
| Social Inbox | No | Yes (comments and mentions) |
| Analytics | Not available | Yes |
LinkedIn does not give apps the analytics of personal profiles unless it grants a separate product, so profile analytics show as not available. LinkedIn Page direct messages are not available either, because LinkedIn has no messaging API for Pages.
