Connect Google Business Profile locations
Connect the Business Profile locations you manage, why unverified locations cannot be picked, and what updates, events and offers can contain.
Google Business Profile locations connect with a Google sign-in. After signing in you choose the locations to connect from a list.
Before you start
Google gives apps access to Business Profile only after it approves them. Until the operator of your SocialApp installation has that approval, the Business Profile card shows Needs review.
Connect locations
- Open Accounts, then Connect Account.
- On the Google Business Profile card, choose Connect Profile.
- Sign in with the Google account that manages the locations.
- Tick the locations in the list. Each shows its address. Locations that are not verified yet are greyed out with "Verification Pending".
- Choose Connect Account.
What you can post
Three kinds of post, chosen under Post type in the composer:
- Update: text, one photo and an optional call to action such as Book, Order or Learn more.
- Event: a title, start and end dates and optional times.
- Offer: a title, dates, a coupon code, a link to redeem online and terms.
An event or offer cannot be scheduled after its end. SocialApp checks this wherever the time is set, also when you move the post on the calendar, and shows "Schedule Date cannot be after End Date".
Analytics
The Business Profile analytics page shows profile views, website clicks, calls, direction requests and the reviews of each location.
