Set up brands in Reviews

A brand groups the locations, contacts and campaigns of one business. Add one, set its Location Limit and duplicate prevention, and send from your own address.

In Reviews, a brand is one business. Its locations, contacts, request templates and campaign defaults belong to it, and the brand picker at the top of Reviews switches between brands.

Add a brand

  1. Open Setup > Brands and choose Add Brand.
  2. On Brand Details, enter the Brand Name and, if you like, a Logo and Website.
  3. Set the Location Limit and Duplicate Request Prevention (below).
  4. Optionally set up Email Setup, then save.

The Starter plan has one brand; Pro and the trial have no brand limit. On Starter, once the brand exists, Add Brand is off with a notice: the account owner can open View Reviews plans, and others are asked to contact the account owner. When you add the first location of a workspace that has no brand yet, a brand named after the business is created with it.

The account owner and Reviews Admins add brands. A client can add one when the owner has switched on Add Brands for them, and is then given that brand with all its locations. Managers work in the brands they are given but do not add or edit brands.

Location Limit

The most locations this brand may have, or No Limit. Managers and clients cannot add locations past it: at the limit, Add Location is off for them, with a notice. The owner and Admins can, as long as the plan has locations left. Only the owner and Admins change the limit, and it cannot be set below the number of locations the brand already has.

Duplicate Request Prevention

An optional waiting period of 1 to 365 days. A contact who received a review request is not asked again by any campaign or quick request of this brand until the period ends. See Credits, text messages and duplicate prevention.

Send requests from your own address

Email Setup is optional and part of Pro and the trial.

  1. Enter the From Name, From Email and, if replies should go elsewhere, a Reply-to.
  2. Choose Start Verification. Reviews shows the DNS records for the domain of the From Email; DMARC is optional.
  3. Add the records at your domain provider, then choose Refresh until the status reads Verified.

Until the domain is verified, request e-mails are sent from the platform's address and your From Email receives the replies. The sender address needs an e-mail provider that verifies sender domains on your SocialApp installation. Without one, the status reads Not configured and e-mails always come from the platform's address.

Brand Context and campaign defaults

  • Library > Brand Context holds a Contact Information line and a Business Description of up to 500 characters. AI replies use both, and reply templates fill their Contact Information field from it.
  • The gear on the Review Requests page opens Edit Campaign Defaults: time zone, sending window, Daily Contact Limit, unenroll rule, logo size, review button colours and the default review link. They apply to campaigns created later in the brand; existing campaigns keep their settings.

Delete a brand

Delete Brand deletes its locations, reviews, listing data, contacts and campaigns. This cannot be undone.
