Keep listings in sync with Listing Publishers

Opt a location in to push its details to Google Business Profile and Facebook, fix sync issues, and know the difference between Opt-out and Disconnect.

Listing Publishers send a location's details from Reviews to its Google Business Profile and its Facebook Page, so the hours, phone number and website match everywhere. The location in Reviews is the source of truth: what you change there is what gets sent. Listings are part of both Reviews plans.

Opt in a publisher

A publisher can be synced once the location's Business Profile or Facebook Page is connected as a review platform.

  1. Open Listings > Listing Publishers for the location chosen at the top.
  2. On the publisher's row, choose Opt-in. You can also tick Opt-in for listings when you connect the platform.

Opting in sends the location's details at once.

  • Google Business Profile receives the business name, phone numbers, website, description, address, categories that have a Google category ID, and the regular and special hours.
  • Facebook receives the fields Meta lets apps change on a Page: phone number, website, e-mail, the about text and the hours.

Status and issues

The cards at the top count the publishers Opted-in, Synced, those that need Actions and Listings Found (connected but not opted in). Each row shows its status: Synced, Syncing, Processing, Issues & errors, Listing Found or Not opted in, and when it was last synced.

Sync Details lists what a publisher could not take, each with its fix, such as Edit Location Details or Reconnect Account, and the date of the next automatic sync, also on a row with issues.

Sync again

Choose Sync on a row, tick several and sync them together, or choose Sync All. Reviews also syncs every opted-in publisher again a month after its last sync. Download CSV saves the list with the screen's words in English, the dates in the workspace's time zone and a Next Sync column.

Verification and the map pin

An unverified Business Profile shows an amber Unverified badge. Verifying a profile happens in Google Business Profile Manager: Reviews cannot verify it for you yet, and it cannot create a new Business Profile yet.

When a profile is verified, Google keeps its own map pin and address. To move the pin, change it in Google Business Profile Manager, then choose Refresh Map on the location's details to copy it back.

A new Facebook Page cannot be created from Reviews: Meta does not allow it.

Opt-out or Disconnect

  • Opt-out stops syncing. The listing stays live on the publisher as it is.
  • Disconnect stops syncing and also removes the profile or Page as a review platform of the location, with its reviews.

Who can manage listings

The account owner, Reviews Admins, Managers and clients whose Listings switch is on. Without it, a client does not see Listing Publishers or its CSV file.
