Reviews and listings
Show reviews on your website with widgets
Create a review widget in one of six types, choose its sources, filters, colours and domains, publish it and paste the embed code into your website.
A widget shows the Google Business Profile and Facebook reviews of a location on your own website. Reviews from other sites cannot be shown, because they are not collected.
Create a widget
- Open Reputation > Widgets for the location chosen at the top.
- Choose Create Widget, enter a Widget Name and pick the Widget Type:
- Grid and List: review cards in rows and columns, or one under another.
- Carousel: cards that slide on their own at the speed you choose (or not at all with None), one or several cards per slide, and arrows. The carousel stops while a visitor's pointer or keyboard focus is on it, and does not move on its own for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion; the arrow buttons and the left and right keys still move it.
- Floating Slides: small cards in a corner of the page.
- Review Button: a button that opens your review page, with the icon you choose (a star, a Google or Facebook mark, or none).
- Average Rating Badge: the average and the number of reviews of one source, as a circle, square or star.
- Choose Create, then set the options.
Options
What a widget offers depends on its type:
- Heading and Button Label.
- Review Source: the platforms to show; with none ticked, every collected platform of the location. The badge shows one source.
- Theme: Light, Dark or Custom with your own card, text and button colours.
- "Leave a review" Redirects to: a review platform of the location, or no button.
- Filter Reviews: a minimum and maximum rating, and Filter Tags to show only reviews with one of these tags.
- Size, Layout, Position and what to show, such as the review text, stars, the platform icon or the review count.
- Custom Domain Lock: up to 5 websites. With the list empty, the widget shows on any website.
- Custom CSS: your own styles, applied inside the widget only.
A widget shows up to 50 reviews.
Publish and embed
- Choose Save Draft while you work, then Publish.
- Copy the Embed Code and paste it where the widget should appear on your website.
The preview (Mobile, Desktop, and Full Screen for Grid, List and Carousel) follows your changes as you make them, before you save, also while the widget is a draft. The embed code appears once the widget is published. A published widget cannot be edited: choose Unpublish, change it and publish again. Only a draft can be deleted.
How fresh it is
The widget shows the reviews Reviews has collected, and websites receive an update at most an hour later. With Custom Domain Lock on, the widget appears only on the listed websites, so the preview of a published widget inside Reviews may stay empty.
Who can manage widgets
The account owner, Reviews Admins, Managers and clients whose Campaigns, QRs, Widgets & Forms switch is on. Without it, a client does not see Widgets.
