Create posts

Add media from Canva, cloud drives and stock libraries

Bring files into a post from Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Unsplash and Giphy, or fetch the images of a web page, and what Not configured means.

Last updated 2 min read

Besides your own uploads, the media menu of Create Post can bring files in from other services. Each one is set up by the operator of your SocialApp installation. Until its keys are added, the service shows Not configured with the reason, and nothing is sent to it.

The services

  • Design with Canva: connect your Canva account once, create a design in a size made for social posts, and bring the finished design into the post.
  • Add files from Google Drive: pick files in Google's own picker. You sign in to Google the first time.
  • Dropbox and Box: pick files in their own choosers. Box takes up to 5 files at a time.
  • Unsplash: search free photos.
  • Giphy: search GIFs and add one.

The chosen files are copied into SocialApp, so the post does not depend on the other service when it is published. They also appear in Recently Uploaded.

Fetch from URL

Fetch from URL takes a link to an image, or to a web page whose images you want to choose from. Shared links from Google Drive and Dropbox work too. Only public web addresses are fetched.

Your connections

Canva and Google Drive connections are your own. Disconnect Canva from the Integrations menu at any time. If a service asks you to reconnect, sign in again from the same menu.
